Original Unpublished Babe Ruth Photograph- Offered is an incredible Baseball item picturing Babe Ruth in NY Yankee Uniform standing in the middle of a crowd of kids signing an autograph ball for them. He is standing near the dugout at the old Oriole Park in Baltimore Maryland and four other Yankee players can be seen also. The photograph measures approximately 4x6 and was taken by famous photographer Leroy Merriken who is most famous for his photograph of Babe Ruth hitting a home run. On the back of this B&W sepia image Merriken has written in blue pen the following to identify the photo: "Babe Ruth 1936 Oriole Park Photo by LeRoy Merriken." This book includes histories of over 50 major sports; names of champions past and present; and outstanding records through the year 1931. Distributed by Eastern Dist. Corp. and Published by Guide Printing both of New York, this book has it all, Baseball, football, basketball, ice hockey to horse shoes and even a section on the 1930 Olympic games. ORIG. AUTO. UPI PRESS PHOTO OF NOLAN RYAN- This 8x10 UPI photo with stamped credit on the reverse and description on the front has been boldly signed by one the greatest pitchers of all time. It pictures the Hall of Famer in California Angels uniform next to the write up that states that Ryan has no pain in his right elbow and is dated 3/25/76. Memorial Stadium "WAVE IT BYE-BYE" Memento - On October 7, 1991 the Baltimore Orioles played it's last Baseball game in Memorial stadium where they began their American league franchise in April 1954. The next year they moved to the best Stadium in major League Baseball, Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Offered is one of the original Baltimore Sunpapers printing plates that was used to produce the edition of the newspaper whose headline reads "Wave It Bye-Bye." The metal plate measures approximately 13x22 and was actually used in producing the issue of the paper. It can be framed and it is totally readable.............$100....CLICK IMAGE

3 Rare and Uncommon Baseball Books- Offered are three hard bound books containing all the records for Baseball since 1876 to the year it was published. Each Book is entitled, "Charlie White's Little Red Book of Baseball" for each of the following years, 1937, 1940 and 1941. Each book is red and hard bound and containing some great old baseball advertisements from equipment makers, AS Spalding and Louisville bats. 1937 Home Run Candy Toy Wrapper w/ Great BB Graphics- Offered is an incredible Home Run Candy Toy Grand Contest wrapper measuring approximately 3x5. The front has color graphics of baseball players in a contest inside a stadium. On the reverse is written text by the Leader Novelty Candy Co. Brooklyn NY and the copyright date 1937. The Clown of Baseball Al Schacht- Offered is a collection of items from tha player known as “The Clown Prince of Baseball, Al Schacht.  He was a failure as a pitcher, winning 10 games and loosing 14 in three seasons.  He spent most of his time with Clark Griffith’s Washington Senators.  When he turned to clowning he toured for four years shattering 150 attendance records around the country. The items are two mini bats with his inscribed name and a 1940 Play Ball Gum Card #116 with his picture on the front and his biography on the reverse.  A unique baseball group..................$150

BB Hall of Fame Leon Day Memorial Collection- Leon Day played in the Negro Baseball League from 1934-1949 where he was an outstanding pitcher setting a league record by striking out 18 batters. He was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame on March 7, 1995 but died six days later. Offered is a collection of souvenir items that were given to guests at a memorial fundraiser in his name for his wife. Included are two pins, HOF plaque card, photo postcard of the Baltimore Elite Giants, a player’s card and two misc. tickets. Rare Baltimore Oriole Collectible- Offered is an original medallion produced by the Baltimore Sun papers for the first season that the Orioles played at Camden Yards their new stadium. The lead medal has the home schedule embossed on one side and the logo on the other and measures approximately 2” in diameter. These were sold in 1993 by the paper to promote the new Stadium. Baseball in 1873- Newspaper Brooklyn vs. Baltimore Offered is an original newspaper, The New York Times Thursday May 8th 1873, eight full pages front and back in very good condition except for a tear on the front bottom page and frayed edges. The paper contains numerous articles of the day including the death of Supreme Court Justice Chase and an attempted assassination of Gov. Kellog of Louisiana. What is unique is on page five, a half column is devoted to a "Base-Ball" game between the Brooklyn Atlantics and the Baltimore Club. The article goes into great detail of the game which was won by the Atlantics 6 to 5 and also there is printed the box score with all the players. There is also information given between the baseball games of Washington and Philadelphia and Boston and Yale. This is a very early accounting of Baseball in America..$25...CLICK IMAGE

The game was between the Baltimore Orioles and NY Yankees on September 19, 1998 at Camden Yards. The string ran from May 30, 1982 to September 19, 1998, when Ripken voluntarily sat out a game.
